Robert Betsch, the principal of Illuminate, Architectural Lighting Details, has been working in the lighting industry for 12 years. He has been a student of architecture since he was ten and has a BA in Art History.
Robert began working with lighting on the sales and specifications side. While doing presentations for the designers who were his clients, he gained a reputation as an insightful lighting expert and designers on the faculty of the Art Institute and the California College of Arts and Crafts in Interior Design began bringing their classes to him for Special/Technical Lighting presentations.
Following this, Robert became the Northern California Technical Specialist and Sales Manager for two landscape lighting manufacturers and obtained his Electrical Contractors License. He is a guest speaker for Merritt College's Landscape and Horticulture Department, U.C. Berkeley Extension and the Orinda Garden Club. He launched Illuminate in 2006.
